​Do you have a keen passion for surgery? If so, how does up to 3 days of Surgery sound per week?

We have an exciting position with a locally owned practice, owned and ran by 2 exceptional veterinary nurses, since 2017. Enjoy autonomy with this practice, with no corporation direction or protocols in how to run or what to do medically or surgically. You'll be joining a progressive team who are always making sure their colleagues feel equally looked after and valued.

The Role:

This position is for an experienced veterinary surgeon to come in and lead the team, all whilst being able to explore their clinical interest - ideally this being surgery. Alongside your leadership duties, you will be given the support and flexibility to develop your clinical interest. With up to 3 days of surgery per week on offer!

The Team:

This experienced team is made up of 6 vets, 10 RVNs, 6 SVNs and a team of experienced receptionists. The veterinary team include Certificate holders in Medicine and Ophthalmology as well as the team working closely with Certificate holders in Surgery, Ultrasonography and Cardiology - however they are keen for these skills to be within the team allowing them to expand the services they can offer clients.

They hold fortnightly vet meetings giving colleagues the opportunity to discuss cases, review protocols and attend arranged lunch and learn CPD sessions. Regular admin time slots are allocated into the diary as well as on the day appointments to help ease the day to day working of the practice.

The hours:

  • The team are open to rota options - open to talking about your ideal working pattern; long days, short days, school hours - they can offer flexibility both in terms of clinical preference and working hours.

  • The Saturday rota is 1:4, they are not open Sundays, and you will not be required to cover OOHs or bank holidays.
