We at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who are looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team. They would consider a consulting only Vet if this was desired but would equally like someone with orthopaedic experience. The role would be split over both sites, Haughley and Thurston.
Rota patterns:
Their flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. They are looking to fill 40 hours, but this could be a mixture of part-time or full-time hours as they understand the pressures of family life and personal time. They work a 1 in 6 Saturday split over both sites. There is no out of hours.
The practice:
They have a mixture of experienced and younger Vets. Currently they have 4.5 FTE with one returning from maternity leave at the end of the year and a new graduate joining in September. There is a range of skills, experience, and interests within the team, and they try to encourage people to follow what they enjoy and are passionate about as much as possible. Their nurse team has grown, and they have 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses. Their support staff is made up of 6 very experienced members of staff who hold the team together. They have some visiting specialists, orthopaedic surgeon, and ultrasound.
