An expanding independent small animal referral practice in Belfast is looking to appoint an experienced RVN into a Senior or Team Leader position. This role has come about due to growth and would suit a confident nurse who enjoys leadership, mentoring, and remaining hands-on clinically.
The practice is referral led, progressive, and currently working towards RCVS Veterinary Hospital accreditation. The focus is on delivering high standards of patient care while maintaining a supportive and sustainable working environment for the team.
The Role

Senior nursing position with leadership responsibility

Leading, supporting, and supervising RVNs and support staff

Managing nursing rotas, workflows, and day-to-day operations
-
Oversight of stock control, equipment maintenance, and infection control
-
Supporting CPD and development within the nursing team

Delivering high-quality hands-on nursing care
-
Assisting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and referral procedures
-
Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and patients
The Ideal Candidate

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS)
-
Previous senior, charge nurse, or team leader experience preferred

Confident mentoring and supporting a nursing team

Strong organisational and communication skills

Comfortable working in a referral or advanced clinical environment

Passionate about patient care and clinical standards
