Lloyd & Cowan are working with a long-established mixed practice in the Westmeath area who are now looking to welcome an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon with a strong small animal focus to their friendly, progressive team. About the Practice
This is a busy, respected mixed practice with deep roots in the local community. The team includes experienced mixed vets, dedicated RVNs and strong support staff who work closely together and maintain a genuinely supportive, down-to-earth culture. The Westmeath location offers a great blend of countryside living with easy access to Dublin and nearby commuter towns.
What the role looks like
- Approximately 80 percent small animal caseload including consults, diagnostics, routine surgery and urgent care
- Around 20 percent large animal work including farm calls, calvings, sections and herd health
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
- Out of hours shared as one night per week and one weekend in four
- Protected downtime with a rota designed to support work-life balance
You’ll be joining a cohesive, supportive team with a strong approach to case sharing, mentorship and professional development. The practice encourages vets to grow their clinical interests and provides the tools to do so.
