Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy
Here at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who are seeking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their amazing team. You will be part of a six-vet team (5 LA vets, 1 SA vet) and will be supported by a clinical director, a practice manager, two nurses and a dedicated reception team.
Role:
The role is a mix of approximately 90% farm animal (no equine) and 10% small animal (mainly on-call and weekends).
The role would suit an experienced vet with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mixed practice. An interest and enthusiasm in general practice is essential as there is potential for involvement with anything from herd health and preventive medicine to internal medicine and surgery. The desire to pursue professional development and postgraduate qualifications is fully supported and funded.
The Practice:
Their practice has been established for nearly 120 years. They are based in the market town of Penrith, just 6 miles from Lake Ullswater and with motorway access north and south to 5 international airports. Their focus is on preventive health in both herd/flock health and domestic pets. Their farm clientele are generally progressive and are all within a compact catchment area. Regular routine dairy visits are carried out and encouraged. They have all mod cons including ultrasound, digital x-ray and bull breeding soundness equipment.
The Package
