Looking for a Veterinary Surgeon role where your development truly comes first?
I’m working with a modern, forward-thinking small animal practice that’s entering an exciting new chapter and is looking to welcome a confident, motivated Veterinary Surgeon to play a key role in its future.
This is the kind of opportunity where you’re not just another clinician on a rota. You’ll have real influence, genuine clinical freedom, and the backing of a close-knit, supportive team who value high standards, collaboration and putting patients first.
The Role
This is a full-time Veterinary Surgeon position offering a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll be trusted to manage routine consultations and surgery, with exposure to a broad mix of medical and surgical work, including some emergency procedures. There will be occasional sole charge, so confidence in first-opinion practice is important, but you’ll always feel supported rather than isolated. There’s no out-of-hours, and weekends are worked on a shared rota, keeping work-life balance firmly protected.
Why this role stands out
What really excites me about this opportunity is the focus on career progression and individual interests. Whether you want to develop a clinical niche, work towards a certificate, or simply practice excellent all-round medicine in a well-equipped environment, you’ll be encouraged and backed to do so. The practice is investing heavily in its facilities and future direction, creating a space where good medicine can genuinely thrive.
What you’ll enjoy
-
Excellent earning potential, with salary up to £80,000 FTE depending on experience
-
Generous CPD funding with active support for certificates and further study
-
Strong clinical autonomy with the chance to shape how medicine is delivered
-
Modern facilities and equipment designed to support high-quality care
-
Healthy work-life balance with no OOH and a fair weekend rota
-
Comprehensive benefits package, including paid professional fees, pension, healthcare options and generous holiday allowance
-
Additional lifestyle perks and discounts, plus visa sponsorship available where required
Who I’m keen to speak with
I’m looking to speak with a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in routine surgery and consultations, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and wants to be part of a practice where their voice genuinely matters. If you enjoy taking ownership, contributing ideas and continuing to grow clinically, this could be an excellent next step.
