Veterinary Surgeon – Up to £65,000 | Brand New Purpose-Built Practice | No OOH

If you’re a confident, ambitious vet who thrives in a progressive environment, this is your chance to be part of something from day one. A brand new, purpose-built small animal practice opened its doors earlier this year and is now looking for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join the journey.

Why This Role is Different
You’ll walk into a fully equipped, state-of-the-art clinic designed with both patients and the team in mind. Think top-spec kit, a well-planned workspace, and the support of a motivated, friendly team who are building something special together. From the start, the practice has embraced advanced surgery and complex cases, including BOAS procedures and fracture repairs, giving you the freedom and facilities to work cases up to the highest standard.

The Role

  • Full time, around 40 hours per week

  • 1 in 3 Saturdays, no Sundays, no OOH

  • Varied caseload with opportunities to follow your clinical interests

  • Sole charge at times, so confidence in routine procedures is ideal

  • Certificate study actively supported and funded

What’s On Offer

  • Salary up to £65,000 DOE

  • Welcome bonus up to £2,000

  • Generous CPD allowance with certificates encouraged

  • 5.6 weeks holiday, increasing with service

  • Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)

  • Contributory pension

  • Staff discounts on veterinary, retail and grooming services

  • Access to wellbeing, support and lifestyle perks

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be RCVS-registered, confident in your clinical and communication skills, and ready to bring positive energy to a growing team. You’ll be supported to develop and push your skills further. Ultrasound experience and strong medicine skills would be a bonus, but the real must-have is a passion for high-quality patient care and teamwork.

This is more than a job. It’s a rare opportunity to shape the culture, caseload and standards of a new, progressive practice from the very beginning.
