An established, progressive small animal hospital in Fife is looking for an experienced Senior Vet to join the leadership team. This is a rare chance to step into a role with genuine autonomy, a fantastic support network, and access to advanced facilities – without sacrificing work-life balance.

The Role & Why It’s Different:

  • Leadership with Clinical Hands-On – Guide a skilled, friendly team while continuing to develop your own caseload.
  • Excellent Work-Life Balance – 4-day week, 1:4 Saturday mornings, no OOH, and time off in lieu.
  • Varied Caseload – From routine GP to more advanced medical and surgical cases, plus in-house access to ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and medicine services.
  • Room to Grow – Funded certificates, leadership training, and support to develop your specialisms.
  • Supportive Culture – Collaborative team environment with monthly case discussions and access to referral partners for complex cases.

About the Practice:
This RCVS-accredited hospital is modern, well-equipped, and supported by a highly experienced nursing team (including ECC and Exotics certificate holders). They have an excellent reputation locally and pride themselves on exceptional client care and patient outcomes.

Located in beautiful Fife, the practice offers the best of both worlds – just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, close to coastal walks, and within reach of the Highlands.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced Vet (ideally 10+ years) confident with sole charge, surgery, and complex medical cases
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and inspire colleagues
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • A positive, proactive approach to clinical work and teamwork

What’s on Offer:

  • £55,000–£70,000 salary DOE
  • 5 weeks’ holiday + bank holidays
  • Relocation support available
  • Paid RCVS & VDS fees
  • Employer pension & life assurance
  • Funded CPD (including certificates)
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Staff pet care discounts
