Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are pleased to be working with a practice who are a 1st Opinion practice based in Gloucestershire who are looking for an experienced vet (circa 4+ years) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working hours:

They are ideally looking for a full time working 4 long days or 5 shorter days a week, however they have the support and flexibility in their rota to accommodate part time and flexible working patterns. Shifts will be on a fair rota pattern between 9am and 7pm. There is a Saturday rota of 1:3 which consists of consults only 8:30am-12:00pm with time off in lieu allowing for a great work life balance. There are no OOH or on-call as this is covered by a dedicated OOH service. The practice has recently been refurbished to a high standard and are in a fantastic position it offer a beautiful and positive working environment. 

Salary:

​​The salary for this role is up to £65,000 subject to experience + benefits and up to £5,000 relocation package. 

About them:

This practice is an RCVS accredited, small animal practice based in the market town of Newent Gloucestershire. They have a small, friendly team of 1.5 vets, 2 registered veterinary nurses and 4 support staff. They enjoy working within the community and have a strong and loyal client base. Newent is 20 minutes from the City of Gloucester, but is located in beautiful countryside, close to the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. They are a fully equipped practice with all the usual toys including a digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house lab.

Applicant Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a good team player who is keen to learn and progress, have a good sense of humour and have a passion for the role. They are looking for someone with great communication skills - both with clients and the rest of the team. Previous practical experience is essential.
