Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role will consist of a mixture of consults and emergency procedures, consults are between 8:30am-12:30pm followed by surgical procedures if needed. The position is a mixture of consults and operations each day with weekends at main Hospital (15 minutes away).

Rota:

Hours are on a rota basis between 9am-6pm with OOH are based at main hospital.


About them:

This practice is a spacious branch practice located in Holbeach Near Spalding in South Lincolnshire. Approx 30 minutes’ drive to Peterborough city. They have a wide range of facilities at the main hospital such as CT, Dental X-ray, DR X-ray, Endoscopes, Class 4 Laser, 4 theatres, 7 consulting Rooms. Clinical freedom is encouraged. They have a supportive and experienced team of vets and nurses in the group plus a dedicated inpatient vet and having the extra vet on a weekend will aid their patient care.

The branch has biochemistry, haematology, UA and microscope, a sterile theatre, with x-ray and ultrasound. Spacious consult rooms. Inpatients get transferred to hospital for overnight care.

They are a close knit and friendly team with 1-2 vets per day, 2 Nurse and 2 receptionists. Support of vets/nurses/management at the main hospital. You must be comfortable with sole charge for this role. 

Salary:

Salary for the role is up to £50,000 depending on experience.
