Our client who we are pleased to be working with are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team. They have a diverse day on offer for the successful candidate with day to day duties involve consulting (15 minute consultations) and operating, working 4 days per week, with an expectation to work 1:6 Saturdays, no OOH’s. 

Role:
The role would be working alongside their Clinical Director in their busy practice, there would sometimes be sole charge when they have holidays to cover. Their CD has special interests in diagnostic imaging and they have digital xray and ultrasound equipment, their CD would be willing to train in these areas, their CD also carries out Laparoscopic bitch speys and there would be the opportunity for training in this area too.

About them:

This practice is a 4 branch practice based in the West Midlands. They are a strong team consisting of 8 FTE Veterinary surgeons with varying interests and 11 FTE Veterinary nurses. They also have a strong support team of VCA's and dedicated receptionists. They have digital x-rays machines, Ultrasound machines which they use for abdominal scanning and also echocardiograms. They also own a laser therapy machine and laparoscopic equipment.

They have 2 certificate holders in surgery and diagnostic imaging and they also have vets with special interests in cardiology, medicine, physiotherapy and exotics amongst their team. They require a new veterinary surgeon who can join their team and help them to continue being able to offer a high standard of care to their clients in both medicine and surgery.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have use of a digital x-ray machine, laparoscopic equipment and ultrasound. The candidate would not be expected to work out of hours and the weekend rota is 1: 6 Saturdays 9am-12.30pm. Ideally the successful candidate would have experience in consulting and routine surgery.

Salary:

​Up to £60,000 depending on experience, up to £5,000 relocation support, plus benefits
