Ready to Practice Gold-Standard Medicine with Advanced Technology and a Truly Supportive Team?

I’m currently working with an exceptional small animal hospital that offers one of those rare opportunities where clinical excellence, advanced facilities, and genuine team support all come together. If you’re a veterinary surgeon who wants to feel challenged, valued, and excited about coming to work, this role really stands out.

This is a large, well-established 24-hour hospital environment with a close-knit, collaborative culture. You’ll be surrounded by experienced clinicians, many with certificates and advanced interests, alongside an outstanding nursing and support team who allow you to focus on what you do best—practising excellent medicine.

What makes this role special

  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment, including CT and MRI, advanced imaging, rehabilitation services, and gold-standard inpatient care

  • A genuinely supportive clinical environment, with certificate holders across surgery, medicine, orthopaedics, cardiology, exotics and more

  • A hospital that encourages learning, collaboration, and professional growth, whether you want to deepen your skills or pursue further qualifications

  • A team culture built on mutual respect, approachability, and shared standards of care

The role

  • Veterinary surgeon position in a progressive hospital setting

  • 4-day working week with a shared 1-in-4 weekend rota

  • No routine out-of-hours, with only minimal on-call commitment

  • Full-time or part-time options considered (weekend participation required)

  • A varied and engaging caseload spanning first-opinion, ECC and referral-level work

What you’ll be supported with

  • Highly competitive salary, reflecting experience and scope of role

  • Generous CPD allowance, with full support for certificates and further development

  • Clear progression pathways and strong clinical leadership

  • Excellent annual leave allowance, increasing with service

  • Private healthcare and pension contributions

  • Paid professional memberships and indemnity

  • Access to wellbeing resources, an employee assistance programme, and pastoral support

  • A workplace that actively prioritises work–life balance and long-term career satisfaction
