We at Lloyd & Cowan are delighted to be working with a practice who are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team of Veterinary Surgeons where you can work 7 days per week out of every three , leaving you the other 2 weeks free to focus on other things!

About them:

Faygate is also less than 20 minutes from Gatwick airport should you live overseas. Their 6 vet hospital team are always available to help you work up and care for complex cases and can provide diagnostic ultrasound, CT,and complex and orthopaedic surgery for your patients.

It houses a CT unit, ultrasound, dental xrays etc and sees an interesting and varied case load, treating several interesting medicine, surgical and other cases. Plus endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods. Faygate manages all out of hour care for the region with a dedicated night team! And, the group is supported by it's own pet blood bank and laboratory.

Salary:

A generous salary, dependent on experience, alongside a vehicle/vehicle allowance is provided. Plus CPD allowance, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees paid.

Role:

Applicants should have 2+ years experience. You must have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates and put the pets, clients and colleagues first in every decision you take. In this role, you work at this practice. Where you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment.

You will work for one week in every three , with the following 2 weeks off. If you find you don’t have plans, you can choose to earn extra money by working additional shifts in your time off.

Key Accountabilities

About you:

  • Do you have at least 3 years clinical experience and comfortable working on a busy schedule?

  • Is team work a strength of yours and is the ability to work in a growing practice with the chance of progression and incentive schemes an exciting prospect for you?

  • Are you keen to build relationships with clients and are you comfortable liaising with other veterinary team members, specialists and service providers?

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations. They collaborate between all the branches so you are supported by very experienced vet surgeons You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills
