We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who are on the look out for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team.

Their vets are responsible for performing consultations, checking prescriptions as per the RCVS guidelines, returning client calls and performing routine surgery during the day. They aim to have high clinical standards and expect their vets to offer a high-level service to their patients and clients each day. They also pride themselves on being a supportive team, so all of the vets are responsible for supporting their recent graduate vets to a level that they are comfortable, and their RVNs and SVNs with their training. They encourage their RVNs to perform schedule 3 procedures under VS guidance.

Rota:

Their rota is flexible, as they have some vets who take advantage of working 3.5 days per week, but they also have vets who choose to work 4 shorter days. They are open to part-time hours too, as they understand the importance of a work/life balance. They do require the successful candidate to join their 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (8am-12pm consults only). There are no out of hours responsibilities.

About them:

They have 3 full-time vets and 1 part-time vet, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN and a VCA. They have 3 receptionists and a head receptionist, a practice manager and clinical director (one of the vets). They are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about providing excellent standards of care for their patients, and owners alike. Who understands the importance of communication within the team, as well as with their clients. They are a friendly team, who like to socialise outside of work, and would love to welcome a like-minded individual into the team.

Ideal Candidate:

They are looking for a motivated, friendly, outgoing vet, with high clinical standards. A certificate or plan to start a certificate is desired, but not essential.
