Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Salary £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
A purpose built small animal practice in Portadown is looking to welcome a friendly and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to its supportive clinical team.
This is a lovely opportunity for a vet who wants proper clinical development, strong support around them and a genuinely varied caseload, without the pressure of out of hours or on call.
The role would suit an experienced vet looking to develop further in medicine, diagnostics or surgery, but someone with 2 years experience will also be warmly considered. The practice is VetGDP approved, supportive of junior vets and has a strong team culture where help is always close by.
The Role
- 100 percent small animal position
- Full time or part time considered
- No on call
- No out of hours
- Two early finishes per week
- Varied mix of consults, diagnostics and surgery
- Strong medical, surgical and nursing support
- Interesting caseload with lovely, appreciative clients
Clinical Support and Facilities
- This is a well equipped, progressive practice with plenty of scope to keep developing your clinical confidence and interests.
- Facilities include:
- Digital X ray
- New full IDEXX laboratory
- Philips colour Doppler ultrasound
- Video endoscopy
- Approved VetGDP practice
- Approved training practice for student veterinary nurses
You will also be working alongside experienced clinicians and certificate holders in surgery, ophthalmology and cardiology, giving you a strong support network and exposure to a high standard of clinical work.
