Veterinary Surgeon – Lincoln – £50,000 to £70,000 DOE

This is a chance to join one of the most modern and well-equipped practices in Lincoln, where you’ll be supported by a friendly, ambitious, and highly skilled team.

The team
The clinical team is made up of experienced vets, many of whom are working towards or already hold certificates in areas such as surgery, imaging, and medicine. You’ll be joining colleagues who actively share knowledge, collaborate on cases, and support each other’s development. Nurses are encouraged to use their skills to the fullest, and the client care team is experienced and proactive, ensuring smooth running day to day. The culture is welcoming, supportive, and full of personality — whether that’s organising fundraising challenges, appearing on TV, or just creating a fun, friendly atmosphere in the practice.

The caseload
With a large and varied client base, the caseload is broad — from routine GP work right through to more complex surgical and medical cases. Facilities include four theatres, separate wards for cats and dogs, a dental suite, ultrasound, X-ray, in-house lab, and a dedicated prep area. You’ll see a mix of consults and surgery, with the opportunity to further specialise and take on more advanced cases as your interests develop. Certificate study is actively encouraged and fully supported.

The role

  • Full-time, 39 hours per week

  • 1 in 4 weekends

  • Mix of consults, routine surgery, and the chance to be involved in more complex work

What’s on offer

  • Salary up to £70,000 DOE

  • CPD allowance with certificate support

  • Funded memberships

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay

  • Income protection

  • Employee discounts

  • Wellbeing support

  • And more!

Why this role?
It’s not just the facilities that make this role stand out — it’s the people. You’ll be joining a team that genuinely enjoys working together, in a practice where professional growth is encouraged and where your input will be valued. The supportive environment, combined with a diverse caseload, makes it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious GP vet who wants to grow clinically while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
