Head of Medical Oncology (Diplomate)
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Medical Oncologist to lead one of the UK’s most advanced oncology services within a purpose-built, multi-disciplinary referral hospital.
The Role
This senior position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to shape the future of oncology services, lead a talented team, and drive clinical excellence in cancer care. The successful candidate will work alongside fellow Diplomates in Oncology, an Oncology Intern, and a dedicated team of oncology nurses, with access to cutting-edge equipment and facilities.
The oncology suite includes two chemotherapy rooms, a Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator with IMRT/VMAT and stereotactic capabilities, and interventional oncology options on-site. Collaboration is encouraged across multiple disciplines including internal medicine, surgery, neurology, imaging, cardiology, ophthalmology, and ECC.
Opportunities are available to establish a residency programme, pursue clinical research, and lead service innovation within a world-class setting.
Requirements
- European or American Diploma in Oncology
- MRCVS (or eligibility)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for service development and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Willingness to participate in an Oncology-only OOH rota
