Registered Veterinary Nurse – Mixed Practice | Mid Devon

We’re representing a well-regarded, long-established mixed animal practice in Mid Devon that is looking to welcome a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to its friendly and supportive nursing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, progressive practice with a strong focus on high clinical standards, professional development, and maintaining a great team culture.

The Practice

This RCVS-accredited practice has been serving its local community for over 60 years and continues to grow. The team takes pride in delivering outstanding care and maintaining close client relationships. The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities, including an in-house lab upgrade currently underway, and benefits from a varied and interesting caseload.

Led by Clinical Directors with interests in surgery and orthopaedics, this is a great environment for a nurse who enjoys utilising their full range of clinical skills.

The team is known for its supportive approach, both professionally and socially, and places strong value on a positive work atmosphere as well as downtime outside of work.

Located in a beautiful part of the country, the practice sits conveniently near Exeter and Dartmoor National Park, offering access to both city life and outdoor adventure.

The Role

This is a full-time nursing role (part-time and flexible hours can be discussed) that involves working across all areas of clinical care, with opportunities to develop special interests depending on your strengths.

You’ll be part of a fair and well-managed OOH rota (1:6). OOH work is based on availability to assist the vet if needed — there's no phone duty, and any time worked is paid appropriately.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Strong clinical skills and a team-focused approach

  • Confidence in handling a mixed caseload

  • A proactive attitude and passion for patient care

What’s on Offer

You’ll be joining a progressive, well-equipped practice where your input is valued and your development is supported. The practice offers:

  • A competitive salary, reflective of experience and skills

  • Generous holiday allowance

  • CPD support and funding

  • Paid professional memberships

  • A range of wellbeing and lifestyle perks

  • Opportunities for clinical development and progression

  • A collaborative, team-oriented culture
