Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse – Refurbished Small Animal Practice | South West London
Up to £35,000 DOE | No OOH | Career Development | Diverse Caseload (Inc. Exotics)

We’re working with a forward-thinking small animal practice in South West London that has recently undergone a major refurbishment and expansion. With a growing team and new facilities in place, they’re now looking for an Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to help lead them into their next chapter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN looking to take on a varied role in a modern, inclusive and supportive setting.

The Practice

This practice has recently completed a significant upgrade, including brand-new clinical spaces and enhanced facilities designed to support a high standard of patient care. The site now includes:

  • Multiple consult rooms and surgical theatres

  • Dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray

  • Imaging room with digital X-ray, ultrasound, and rigid endoscopy

  • Separate cat, dog, and exotic wards and waiting areas

  • Isolation ward and designated pharmacy space

The team is a mix of long-standing members and newer recruits, creating a stable, welcoming atmosphere with a strong sense of community. With a growing caseload that includes a range of exotic species, the practice encourages ongoing learning—several team members are currently pursuing additional qualifications in exotic animal care and beyond.

The Role

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with no out-of-hours and just 1 in 4 weekends, offering a great work-life balance.

You’ll take part in a wide range of clinical responsibilities including:

  • Anaesthesia monitoring

  • Inpatient care

  • Nurse consults

  • Diagnostic support (radiography/ultrasonography)

  • Ordering and stock management

  • Assisting with procedures, including potential Schedule 3 tasks

You’ll be encouraged to make the most of your skills and develop in areas of personal interest. Whether your passion is consulting, inpatient care, or supporting more complex cases, this role provides the flexibility and support to pursue it.

About You

You’ll be a proactive and enthusiastic RVN with a positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient and client care. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. If you enjoy variety and want to work with a supportive team that embraces development, you’ll fit in perfectly.

Experience with exotic species is a bonus but not required—just a willingness to learn and get involved.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary (up to £35,000 DOE)

  • Generous CPD support, with opportunities for funded certifications

  • Paid professional memberships

  • Company-wide perks and retail discounts

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Social events and wellbeing initiatives

  • Supportive team environment with scope to pursue clinical interests
