We at Lloyd & Cowan are pleased to be working with a practice who have a great opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at their busy first opinion RCVS accredited practice. The role can be worked as full-time or part-time hours and will involve 1:4 weekend shifts and one bank holiday per year. All OOH and in-patient care is looked after by thier Tier 3 RCVS accredited Hospital.
About them:
This practice is a lovely practice with a central location, featuring 3 consultation rooms, imaging room with brand new ultrasound machine and a large operating theatre. Their large team includes, 4 Vets, Practice Manager, 1 Head Nurse, 3 RVN’s, 1 SVN, 3 VCA’s and 4 Receptionists. They aim to offer first opinion services to a high standard and are particularly proud of their range of nurse led clinics and well-paced consult blocks to allow their vets regular breaks and time to focus on the work up of clinical cases. They have 2 vets undertaking medical certificates and would be eager to support someone with a surgical bias with the option to start a certificate in this area.
They enjoy a positive team driven atmosphere providing support, and continuous learning is actively encouraged. All staff receive a CPD allowance. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in a supportive practice, or equally would suit an experienced Vet wishing to develop their own area of interest.

They are looking for a friendly, motivated, and committed individual who shares their passion for working in a busy, team orientated first opinion practice. They are keen to find someone with great communications skills and the wish to develop and add value to the team.
Benefits:
An excellent salary – up to £60,000 for an experienced vet
6.6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays.
