Our client who we are pleased to be working with have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their amazing team.

This practice currently has eleven veterinary surgeons, ten registered veterinary nurses, three trainee veterinary nurses, seven auxiliary veterinary nurses, eight receptionists and a practice manager. This role is for cat and dog work. You will be working alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds with many years of experience and qualifications– 3 exotic cert holders, 1 currently sitting ECC cert and 1 sitting ophthalmology cert. They actively encourage career progression and would happily support further accreditation in your chosen field.


About them:

This practice has been very proudly caring for the pets of south Manchester for the last 50 years and is fortunate to have a lovely client base and good reputation. They are lucky enough to have a wonderful cohesive team.

They are a supportive, caring, busy practice with fantastic team work. They have great clients and a wide variety of patients! Their aim is to provide a high standard of veterinary care, and they have a great local reputation.

They are RCVS silver accredited, and rabbit welfare silver accredited. They are staffed 24 hours a day for improved patient welfare and client care (they have a dedicated OOH team of vets/nurses, as well as auxillary nurses who look after thwir in-patients OOH).


Rota:

The rota is based on a 4 day a week, 1 weekend (mornings only) in 5 – 6. Shift patterns on weekdays are a mix of 9 - 4 and 9 - 7. There is a separate out of hours team, but you will be 2nd on call one day a week and one weekend in 5 primarily for advice for the out of hours vet or nurse.

The rota is designed to give a great work life balance, based on 40 hours and a 4 day week. Should a 5 day week be preferred to suit your lifestyle better, or Part Time, then they would happily accommodate this.

Salary:
