We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who have a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced team. As a Veterinary Surgeon at the practice your day-to-day duties will be a mix of consultations and surgery, and you will receive fantastic support from an experienced team including certificate holders. They actively encourage their team to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.


Rota:

They offer an excellent work-life balance for their team and can work out a flexible shift pattern that suits you and your lifestyle. Typically, the full-time position is 36 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pmas well as 8:30am and 7pm. There are 1:8 Saturday mornings 8:30am – 12pm with no OOH. They would also welcome part time applicants. 


About them:

They are an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic, RCVS PSS GP practice and a nurse training centre. Established for over 40 years with two branches in South Wales, they take pride in their loyal client base. They have the best of both worlds, with easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Countryside such as the Brecon Beacons National Park. 

Their biggest selling point would be the support available from their team. Their supportive team consists of many talented Vets (one is completing a Surgery certificate), 6 RVNs, supporting team members, led by their Practice Manager and 3 Clinical Directors (one is a Medicine certificate holder and another has an interest in Orthopaedics).

Ideal Candidate:

The role is suitable for a new graduate or a more experienced veterinary surgeon who will be given the opportunity to further their career through a wide range of clinical and surgical cases and opportunities. They have very experienced and supportive vets who are always willing to help and discuss cases. They actively encourage staff to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.

Salary:

​Up to £75,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000
