Night Veterinary Surgeon – Cheshire – ECC-Focused Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join a well-equipped, 24-hour clinic in Cheshire. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and wants to make a real impact during out-of-hours care.

The Role
Working alongside an experienced night nursing team and with access to specialists in surgery and internal medicine, this position involves managing a varied ECC caseload and ensuring continuity of care for inpatients overnight. Advanced diagnostics including ultrasound, radiography, and CT are available on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality ECC care to inpatients during night hours

  • Handle a wide and varied caseload independently

  • Collaborate with both night and day teams to ensure smooth case handovers

  • Use in-house diagnostic tools confidently and effectively

  • Engage in regular CPD and ongoing clinical development

Ideal Candidate

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Confident in ECC and independent decision-making

  • Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills

  • Positive and collaborative team player

  • Enthusiastic about working night shifts in a supportive environment
