Lloyd & Cowan is delighted to be partnering closely with a long-established, multi-site veterinary group in County Cork as they search for the right person to take on an exciting senior opportunity within one of their expanding small animal clinics.

This is more than just a vet job — it’s a chance to take ownership of a clinic, guide a capable team, and make a real impact locally, all while having the backing of an experienced management team and a wider network of supportive colleagues. It’s ideal for someone mid-career who wants to run their own site without the pressures of ownership — truly the best of both worlds.

The group is prepared to hold off for the perfect fit, valuing attitude and leadership as much as experience. A salary around €70,000 is on offer, though they’re open to discussion for the right person.

The Role

  • Lead and support a team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs and dedicated support staff
  • Full-time, 40-hour week over 5 days
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays, minimal Sunday on-call (1 in 10, with nurse support)
  • Mix of first opinion consultations, medicine, diagnostics, and routine/emergency surgery

About You
You’ll be confident in general practice, comfortable mentoring others, and motivated by creating a positive, collaborative clinic culture. Strong communication skills and a genuine focus on client care are key.

About the Group
This group has been part of the Cork community for over 75 years, combining traditional values with a progressive approach to care. With multiple sites, they offer flexibility, strong community connections and the reassurance of a wider clinical and management network. They invest heavily in CPD, wellbeing and structured career growth.

What’s on Offer

  • Salary around €70,000 (negotiable)
  • Generous CPD and career development support
  • VCI, VDS and memberships covered
  • Enhanced annual leave and pension
  • Paid charity day
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Staff discounts and more

This is a standout opportunity for a vet ready to take the next step — shaping a clinic, leading a team and building something lasting within a respected, supportive group.
