The Practice:
A truly-independent RCVS SAGP-accredited small animal vets, with practices in the beautiful Devon towns of Sidmouth and Colyton - currently having 4 Vets, 4 RVNs & competent and friendly SVNs, ANAs, receptionists. Join this family-feel team with a loyal client base where they support colleagues and endeavour to provide gold-standard care to our patients.
You will have full clinical freedom, with 20-minute appointments as standard and support and training from experienced vets, should the need arise. Being truly independent, being owned 100% by the head vet, with no sales targets and no restrictions on choice of medicines.
They have 2 superbly-equipped practices, each with capnography, digital X-ray, colour doppler ultrasound, ECG, full in-house lab, digital tonometry, cloud PMS and auto-stocking. And, are launching a laparoscopic neutering service at the Colyton branch in 2023, and are keen to meet vets who can carry out keyhole surgery, or who would like to learn.
What they are looking for?
We're looking for a veterinary surgeon with at least one year’s experience in small animal practice in the UK.
You should enjoy working in general practice and have an ambition to do the very best possible for our valued patients and clients.
You should be competent in routine surgeries, consultations and dealing with common emergencies.
The ideal candidate would be a superb communicator, with a friendly personality who is enthusiastic, positive and capable with a great sense of humour.
A specific interest in Feline Medicine or Behaviour would be welcome as we aspire to achieve ISFM cat-friendly clinic status at the new premises.
Rota:
This will be a permanent contract, full-time or part-time considered.
1 in 4 OOH cover rota - earning OOH bonuses of £50 per call-out before 10pm and £80 after 10pm.

Travel and accommodation allowance of £1500+
CPD allowance: £1500, with paid CPD days by arrangement
