Senior Veterinary Surgeon | Tier 3 Hospital & Branch Network
Up to £75,000 | 4 Day Week

Are you ready to move beyond routine first opinion and step into a role with genuine clinical depth and leadership exposure?

This is a Senior Veterinary Surgeon opportunity within an RCVS accredited, multi site practice centred around a well equipped Tier 3 hospital in Wiltshire.

What you will be doing

  • Managing a varied and interesting caseload across hospital and branch settings
  • Taking on more complex medical and surgical cases
  • Leading detailed case work ups with access to advanced diagnostics
  • Working closely with the Clinical Director on clinical standards and decision making
  • Influencing case management protocols and patient care pathways
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced vets

The hospital environment offers greater exposure to advanced diagnostics, inpatient care and a broader case mix than a standard branch role. This is a genuine step up in clinical responsibility.

The caseload

  • Complex medical investigations
  • Advanced soft tissue surgery
  • Orthopaedic exposure depending on experience and interest
  • Inpatient management and case continuity
  • Collaborative case discussions within a large, skilled clinical team

You will have the autonomy to work cases up thoroughly while still benefiting from strong clinical support.

Who this would suit

  • A confident vet ready for senior responsibility
  • Someone who wants to influence standards rather than simply follow them
  • A vet considering progression towards Clinical Director level
  • An individual who enjoys mentoring and developing colleagues

You will deputise for the Clinical Director when required, gaining valuable leadership experience.

The package

  • Salary up to £75,000
  • Full time, 38 hours over a 4 day week
  • 6.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
  • £1,750 CPD allowance, enhanced for certificate holders
  • RCVS and additional memberships paid
  • VDS cover
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Discounts
  • Company sick pay
  • Annual pay reviews
  • And more....

If you are looking for a role that offers genuine progression, clinical depth and leadership exposure, this is well worth a confidential conversation.
