The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join this exceptional team based in Bristol!

Your day-to-day duties will include nursing of valuable patients, preparing patients for ops, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting with x-rays, endoscopy, ultrasound, and dentals.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week over five days a week with varying shifts, but you will have your rota a week in advance. You will be required to work 1:4 Saturdays, but there is no Sunday work required.

  • The salary for this role is between £22,500 - £27,000 depending on experience.

About the clinic:

They are a well-established and well-respected practice with two branches in SE Bristol. They have ICFM awards for both branches, and frequently get nominated for, and sometimes win, the Petplan best staff member or practice! They have the usual equipment such as endoscope, ultrasound, dental machine and x-ray and cosy separated cattery and kennels for our day patients. And the main surgery is on a bus route from the centre of Bristol, and a 15 minute walk from Temple Meads train Station.

About the Team and Culture

They currently have six vets, five registered veterinary nurses, a dedicated reception team and a finance administrator, all working with support from the practice manager and clinical director. They have been a nursing training practice for over ten years, and many of the nurses that we train stay with us for a long time! They are a relaxed yet hard-working and supportive team, with high standards of care expected for each other, clients, and patients. 

Applicant Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have had some experience working in a small animal practice. They actively encourage CPD, and funding can be applied for suitable courses.
