We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team.
You will be supporting the Head Nurse in the supervision/training of their Student Veterinary Nurses & Animal Nursing Assistants when on shift and maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the practice by upholding the practice’ infection control procedures.
Their Registered Veterinary Nurses are the absolute back bone of their practice, and generally have a hand in most areas of the day to day which include carrying out schedule 3 procedures (subject to appropriate training), anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, looking after their inpatient care, carrying out various types of nurse clinics, completing laboratory duties and much more! There will also be some reception duties when needed such as: taking telephone calls/inpatient enquiries, stock control and ordering and unpacking orders.

They try to keep things interesting/varied here at the practice, so their Registered Veterinary Nurses typically work full time, 40 hours per week, across 4/5 days, consisting of either an early shift (8:00 am to 4.30 pm) or a late (11:00 am to 7.30 pm). Their Nurses also work 1 in 3 Saturdays and in turn receive time off in lieu the following week and there is no OOH.

Their friendly team consist of 3 Vets, 1 Head RVN, 2 Nurses and one SVN who are supported by our wonderfully efficient receptionists. The practice is a large and modern practice with 3 consult rooms; a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; a large modern theatre and prep room.
