We’re working with a well-established, independent small animal practice in Glasgow that’s looking to welcome a confident vet to their friendly team. This role has come about as one of their team members is considering a move to leadership, creating an opportunity for someone around 4+ years qualified who’s looking to take on a varied and rewarding position.
The Practice
This is a 3-vet practice (soon to be 4 with a recent graduate joining later this year) supported by 4 RVNs, 2 receptionists, and an ACA. They operate out of a well-equipped site with modern kit including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, two theatres and three consult rooms.
The team is well-balanced — one vet holds a surgical certificate, another has 3 years' experience, and they pride themselves on collaboration, not competition. You’d be joining a practice that genuinely supports one another, with a good mix of consulting, surgery, and mentoring opportunities for the junior team members.
The Role
Full-time (39.5 hours/week)
Monday to Friday 9:00–18:30
1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00–13:00)
Half-day off during the week (likely to be a Wednesday)
No out-of-hours or late nights
They’re looking for a well-rounded vet who’s confident in routine medicine and surgery, keen to get stuck in across first-opinion caseload, shelter work, and help support a more junior vet coming into the team. You’ll also have the support of the Clinical Lead, who holds a surgical cert and works across all areas and cases.
