The Role
We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who are currently on the lookout for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The day-to-day duties include inpatient care, anaesthesia, surgery, dentistry, imaging, nurse-led clinics, and client communications. Responsibilities include maintaining high levels of inpatient care, guiding and supporting student Nurses, maintaining good working relationships with team members and maintain a high professional standard, maintain RCVS membership and keeping up with CPD.
Rota:
The rota will include working 4 or 5 days a week however they are open to discussion of shift pattern requirements. Nursing cover is required between the hours of 7:00am and 9:30pm and shifts will run between these hours. They require a maximum of 1 in 5 weekends however their current pattern is up to a 1 in 8.
Salary:
The salary for this role will be up to £30,000 depending on experience.
This role will be based at their Southport branch, but you will be required to be able to work from their other branches also.
The practice:
Their 14 strong Vet team is made up certificate holders in medicine and surgery. They have a team of 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses and Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants and 20 Receptionists/ Support Staff members. Their nursing staff hold ECC cert/ VNES Cert/ NCert AnBeh / Dermatology. Nurses are encouraged to improve in their area of interest and encouraged to implement their skills in practice. The team regularly meets up for dog walks, coffees and so much more! There are multiple mental health first aiders within the team, and wellbeing is a priority of their practice. They have an open-door policy so that there is always someone to talk to.
Applicant Requirements:
They are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience however this is not essential. Requirements include:
