Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse – A Brilliant Opportunity to Elevate Your Nursing Career

As a specialist veterinary recruiter, I’m delighted to be supporting a well-established small-animal hospital in finding an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrives within a collaborative clinical team.

If you are driven, compassionate, and dedicated to raising standards in veterinary nursing, this role offers the ideal environment to grow, contribute meaningfully, and build long-term professional satisfaction.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled veterinary and nursing team who take pride in maintaining a calm, supportive, and clinically excellent environment. The hospital provides a full range of services and is equipped with modern surgical, diagnostic, and inpatient facilities, allowing you to utilise your nursing skills fully and continue expanding them.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will play a central part in the daily clinical operations, including:

  • Supporting veterinary surgeons during medical and surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring

  • Providing high-quality inpatient care, treatment administration, and nursing support

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records

  • Ensuring safe handling and administration of medications

  • Upholding strict hygiene and infection-control standards throughout the hospital

  • Assisting with front-of-house responsibilities to ensure an excellent client experience

  • Managing stock levels and ensuring efficient workflow within the clinic

  • Contributing to staff training and supporting best practice within the nursing team

  • Promoting preventative healthcare and client education

This is a hands-on nursing position that requires strong clinical capability, excellent communication, and an organised, proactive approach to patient care.

What You Bring

I’m looking to speak with RVNs who demonstrate:

  • Current professional registration

  • A strong interest in small-animal practice and delivering high clinical standards

  • Experience in a busy veterinary environment, ideally 2+ years

  • Confidence in decision-making and autonomous nursing tasks

  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional manner

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team

  • A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and pride in your work

Further qualifications or advanced training are always welcome, but not essential.

What’s on Offer

  • A competitive salary in the region of €30,000–€35,000, depending on experience

  • A supportive, progressive team culture with genuine respect for nursing expertise

  • Full encouragement of CPD and ongoing career development

  • The chance to work within a modern, well-equipped clinical environment

  • Opportunities to shape patient care and contribute to a high-performing hospital team

If you’re an RVN who is committed to outstanding patient care and ready to take the next step in your career, I would love to hear from you.
