A well-established small animal practice in Oxford is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive team. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week with a share of weekends. Flexible rota options are available, including 1:6 full weekends or 1:3 single weekend days.
The Practice
You’ll be joining a friendly team of two full-time Vets, one part-time Vet, two RVNs, and a CCA. The clinic is equipped with modern facilities, including its own laparoscopic equipment.
The Role
The successful candidate will take on a varied nursing position, including nurse consults, supporting with surgical and medical cases, monitoring patients, and assisting with procedures. Responsibilities will also include admissions and discharges, patient transfers, dispensing medication, and ensuring regulatory standards are met. This is a role where you’ll have real responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient and client care.
Requirements
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Experience working effectively within a team
- Confident in nurse-led consults and schedule 3 procedures
- Organised, proactive, and able to support practice performance and efficiency
