Are you a recent or soon to be new graduate vet looking for that perfect Mixed Veterinary role? Continue Reading.....
We are representing a great practice who are looking for a new graduate veterinary surgeon to join their friendly, social team – where they pride themselves on their teamwork, and supportive environment.
They are a genuinely mixed practice, with a focus on work life balance, allowing you to enjoy the nearby mountains, sea and city. Normal working hours are between 0845 and 1700 over a 4 day working week, with 6.8 weeks annual leave per annum.
They are proud to offer their own out of hours service, 1:10 first on call weekends, with 2 vets on call at all times – one as primary responder, the second as additional support if required. Vets are compensated with a 4 day long-weekend after every weekend on call, as well as an additional mid rota long weekend, plus additional cash benefit per out of hours call.
They also have a structured rota ensuring each vet a guaranteed mix of farm, equine and small animal work, with set operating days included to allow time to work up individual cases to a high standard. 15 minute consults in bite-sized consulting blocks as standard. And hold weekly clinical meetings to allow for case discussion and collaboration, or just a catch up!
They have a large team of experienced nurses, and an excellent range of up-to-date kit across all species – including equine and small animal video endoscopes, sector and linear ultrasound scanners for farm and equine work, high quality small animal ultrasound, digital x-ray (including dental and mobile for equine) and more.
The ideal candidate would have an interest in all areas (farm, equine and small animal) but would have the freedom and support to build on any field that especially interests them, CPD is actively encouraged with a generous allowance, professional fees and subscriptions are paid for.
