Practice Manager – Part-Time | Veterinary Sector
Location: Hertfordshire (Multi-Site) | Hours: 25 per week | Flexible Working
We’re working on behalf of a respected, multi-site veterinary group looking to appoint a Practice Manager to help lead the operational and team performance across two well-established practices in Hertfordshire.
This is an ideal opportunity for a capable and people-focused manager looking for a part-time role with purpose. You’ll play a key role in supporting a dedicated clinical team, improving client experience, and helping drive the continued success of these busy, community-focused clinics.
The position offers a mix of leadership, operational oversight, and team engagement responsibilities — well-suited to someone who thrives in an environment that combines people, process, and care delivery.
The Role
You will take ownership of the day-to-day non-clinical operations across two sites, with a broad scope that includes team coordination, compliance, resource planning and client service excellence.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting the wider team to ensure a smooth, positive working environment

Managing rotas, HR processes, and resourcing across both clinics

Overseeing the delivery of a high standard of client experience

Supporting recruitment, training and performance management

Monitoring operational and financial performance against key metrics

Driving improvements in processes, systems, and practice efficiency

Acting as a key liaison between clinical and regional leadership
About You
We’re looking for an experienced manager with strong organisational and people skills, ideally with experience in a healthcare, veterinary, or service-based setting.
You should be:

Confident managing and supporting a diverse team

Comfortable working across multiple locations

Capable of managing operational and financial performance

Proactive, resilient, and solution-focused

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

A good communicator who can influence and motivate
Experience with rota planning, performance reviews, HR processes, and compliance frameworks will be particularly beneficial.
