Practice Manager – Part-Time | Veterinary Sector

Location: Hertfordshire (Multi-Site) | Hours: 25 per week | Flexible Working

We’re working on behalf of a respected, multi-site veterinary group looking to appoint a Practice Manager to help lead the operational and team performance across two well-established practices in Hertfordshire.

This is an ideal opportunity for a capable and people-focused manager looking for a part-time role with purpose. You’ll play a key role in supporting a dedicated clinical team, improving client experience, and helping drive the continued success of these busy, community-focused clinics.

The position offers a mix of leadership, operational oversight, and team engagement responsibilities — well-suited to someone who thrives in an environment that combines people, process, and care delivery.

The Role

You will take ownership of the day-to-day non-clinical operations across two sites, with a broad scope that includes team coordination, compliance, resource planning and client service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting the wider team to ensure a smooth, positive working environment

  • Managing rotas, HR processes, and resourcing across both clinics

  • Overseeing the delivery of a high standard of client experience

  • Supporting recruitment, training and performance management

  • Monitoring operational and financial performance against key metrics

  • Driving improvements in processes, systems, and practice efficiency

  • Acting as a key liaison between clinical and regional leadership

About You

We’re looking for an experienced manager with strong organisational and people skills, ideally with experience in a healthcare, veterinary, or service-based setting.

You should be:

  • Confident managing and supporting a diverse team

  • Comfortable working across multiple locations

  • Capable of managing operational and financial performance

  • Proactive, resilient, and solution-focused

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • A good communicator who can influence and motivate

Experience with rota planning, performance reviews, HR processes, and compliance frameworks will be particularly beneficial.

What’s On Offer

  • A competitive salary, dependent on experience

  • Generous holiday allowance, with increases linked to service

  • A variety of health and wellbeing support tools and services

  • Access to ongoing training, development, and career progression

  • Staff benefits including discounts and flexible benefits packages

  • Supportive working environment with a strong focus on collaboration and culture
