Night Veterinary Surgeon – 7 Nights On / 14 Off
Salary up to £66,000+ DOE | Tier 3 Hospital Setting

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Vet to join a well-established Tier 3 hospital in Leeds area.

This role follows a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota—offering the perfect balance between a fulfilling OOH caseload and extended time off. This position is ideal for a vet confident in ECC work and inpatient care, looking to be part of a high-standard facility with fantastic equipment, a large, friendly team, and a genuine focus on well-being and career development.

The Role: Rota: 7 nights on / 14 nights off. Mon–Fri: 8pm–8am. Sat/Sun: 6pm–8am. Supported overnight by an RVN and Patient Care Assistant. Duties include inpatient care and handling all emergency cases presenting overnight. Certificate study encouraged and funded.

About the Practice: This is a high-standard Tier 3 hospital offering both first opinion and referral services, with ten satellite branches. The site includes: three-theatre suite and separate cat/dog/exotics wards, modern CT, two ultrasound scanners, and advanced diagnostic equipment. Extensive in-house lab, dental suite with x-ray, and a new rehabilitation centre offering hydrotherapy, physio, laser therapy, and a canine hot spa. Regular Vet meetings, case discussions, and M&M rounds. A genuinely supportive, friendly, and collaborative team culture. Easy access to Leeds, York, and the Peak District.

What’s on Offer: Salary up to £66,000+, depending on experience. 5 weeks’ holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave. CPD allowance + access to extensive online CPD. RCVS & VDS fees covered. Opportunities for career progression. Staff discounts and wellness programmes. Enhanced sick pay and family leave. Cycle to work scheme, flu jabs, childcare vouchers & more.

If you're a confident night vet who thrives in a fast-paced but well-supported environment, this role offers the perfect blend of ECC work, clinical progression, and work-life balance.
