Are you the enthusiastic vet we have been looking for? Do you have an interest in Mixed work and want to join a team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses and supportive administration staff? Then this role is for you!

This is a truly mixed role at 50% Small Animal and 50% Large Animal (no equine).

They are a progressive practice keen on exploring all options for patients with a varied caseload in all disciplines. Any special interests will be accommodated, CPD is encouraged and funded.

They are a well-equipped practice with X-ray, Ultrasound, Idexx Laboratory machines and a purpose-built dental suite with dental x-rays. The practice is located in the heart of County Louth, just 5 minutes from the M1, a close drive to many beaches!

The Role:

  • They are looking for a mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.

  • This position would suit an experienced vet or a newly qualified graduate, with great mentoring and a keen focus on maintaining a great working environment for all colleagues.

  • Full-time hours are 9am to 6pm 5 days a week with a shared weekend and OOH rota.

  • OOH is 1 in 5 full weekends, 1 in 5 half weekends, 1 in 5 weeknights with time off in lieu for any weekends worked.

  • Duties – consults, surgery, TB testing, farm visits

Salary for the role is commensurate with experience.

  • Veterinary Surgeon applicants must be registered with the VCI. Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn

  • New graduates will be fully supported.
