At Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment, we are pleased to be recruiting for two Mixed Veterinary Surgeons to join a well-established and highly proactive team based in Drumahoe.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across both small animal and farm services within a structured, supportive environment offering clear progression and a genuinely varied caseload.


The Role

You’ll divide your time between companion animal and farm work, including:

  • Small animal medicine, soft tissue, and orthopaedic cases across multiple sites

  • Farm work ranging from routine sick calls to consultancy, herd health, and fertility management

  • Working with herds from 30 to 1,100 cows, alongside beef, sheep, sucklers, equine, and camelids

  • Contributing to service development within a large, collaborative veterinary team

You’ll be joining a dynamic practice of over 40 vets with excellent facilities and a strong support network.


Working Pattern

  • Full-time position

  • 1 in 4 out-of-hours rota with experienced support

  • Time off in lieu for weekend work

  • Structured team environment with genuine opportunities to progress into leadership or specialist areas

  • Salary up to £75,000 (pro rata) depending on experience and responsibilities
