Are you looking for a new challenge in an RCVS accredited practice with a fantastic Mixed Veterinary team?
We are pleased to be representing an impressive 2-site practice in beautiful East Yorkshire with one site situated close to the busy city centre of Hull, and the other in a lovely village just on the outskirts giving you a great mix of rural and city life.
The practice is an RCVS accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm, and Equine and an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly practice! They are looking to expand their amazing nursing team! They have a large and varied case load enabling the nursing team to rotate between theatre, circulatory nurse, inpatient care, and consulting, this is done on a rota basis to ensure variety and job satisfaction to the whole team.
Therefore, a rare opportunity has arisen for an RVN who has a passion for high clinical standards and exceptional customer care to join this great Mixed Practice!
You would be joining our friendly and supportive team of 12 Vets, 5 RVNs, 4 VCAs, 2 kennel assistants, 14 receptionists, and admin members across both sites. The nursing team is currently dedicated to small animal nursing so no experience in large animal would be necessary, although the opportunity to assist on the large animal side may be available if desired.
The role is based on a 37.5-hour week, working 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm Monday – Friday. Weekends are worked on a 1:7 rota, 8 am to 4 pm Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm Sunday with a day off in lieu and overtime paid for the Sunday.
Training and mentoring are very important to the clinic, and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. They are a Veterinary Nurse training practice at both of our sites and aim to always have at least one student undergoing their training with us. The successful candidate will be dedicated to developing higher quality of first opinion pet care, whilst gaining the opportunity for internal career progression.
The current nurses’ skills are highly valued, and you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge to your true potential. They run regular nurse clinics and actively encourage nurses to perform schedule 3 procedures where they feel confident.
In return you will receive:
Generous salary depending on experience
22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
RCVS and VDS fees paid
1 additional membership of your choice paid
Funded and supported CPD including up to certificate level
Enhanced sick, Maternity, Paternity and Adoption pay
