Experienced or Senior Mixed/Production Animal Veterinarian – Fixed Term
Wairarapa, New Zealand
1 August 2025 – 30 November 2025

A veterinary role with real variety and adventure.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mixed or Production Animal Vet to join a well-established, progressive practice in the beautiful Wairarapa region. You'll be stepping into a fixed-term position, supporting a busy caseload alongside a passionate and supportive team.

The practice has a strong community presence and is equipped with purpose-built facilities for both companion and production animal work. With a collaborative team that includes vets, support staff, and technical farm advisors, you'll be well supported every step of the way.

The role includes:

  • A blend of companion and large animal work

  • Routine surgeries and consults

  • Farm visits and preventative animal health planning

  • Lab result reporting and clear client communication

  • Accurate record keeping and invoicing

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
On-call: One weeknight per week & one weekend per month

About You:

  • MUST be eligible for registration in New Zealand

  • At least 2+ years of mixed or large animal experience

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently

  • Adaptability to rural seasonal workload
