We’re pleased to be recruiting again following the successful placement of two part-time RVNs who jet back and forth to Switzerland. The household is now looking to welcome a full-time professional to complete the team.
This is unique private opportunity has arisen for an experienced veterinary nurse or highly skilled dog care professional to join a high-net-worth household on a full-time basis in Zurich, Switzerland.
This role would suit someone who is genuinely passionate about dog welfare, confident handling large breeds, and comfortable working within a private setting where exceptionally high standards of care are expected. The household is home to several much-loved dogs who require consistent, attentive daily care and confident handling.
This is a full-time position involving relocation to Zurich, with accommodation support provided.
The role
Daily walking and structured exercise routines
Preparing and serving meals
Administering medication and monitoring ongoing health conditions
Supporting mobility and physiotherapy where required
Grooming, cleaning, and equipment maintenance
Moving dogs safely around the home
Maintaining clear communication with the family regarding health or behavioural changes
Stepping in to support when cover is required
The ideal candidate
Fully flexible and adaptable
Comfortable stepping in when needed
Confident handling large dogs
Good instincts when working with dogs with health concerns
Open, team-oriented, and professional
Takes responsibility for their own learning and development
Veterinary nurse qualification advantageous, though strong professional dog-handling experience will also be considered
Must hold a European or Irish passport
Working pattern
5 days on, 2 days off per week
Days off vary week to week
25 days holiday per year

Accommodation provided on a full-time basis
Employer covers two-thirds of rent and all utilities
Package
Starting salary from around €60k
Increasing to around €68k following successful probation
