Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who have an opportunity for a vet to join their new practice in Sutton-in-Ashfield as a lead vet.

Role:

This role would suit an already established lead vet looking for an opportunity to grow within a new company or an experienced vet looking to take the next step in their career. Clinical freedom and development of all their staff is important and you will have the opportunity to drive high clinical standards right from the start.

Development of their practices and teams is core to what they do and this role will enable you to help develop and shape the growth of this new practice alongside your team, and with the support of your regional team. Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support.

Salary package of up to £67,369 PA including:

- Accommodation Allowance.

Working hours:

This is a permanent, full-time role working 39 hours a week over four days but they're open to negotiation.

Key Accountabilities:

- Manage the sales performance, budget and overall profitability of the practice on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets/livestock.
- Assess and examine and diagnose patients’ medical issues.
- Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds.
- Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
- Prescribe medication.
- Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
- Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock
- Euthanise patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain patients medical records.

Skills and Experience:

- Registered with the RCVS.
- Qualified MRCVS.
- Commitment to animal welfare.
- Ability to keep on top of practise protocols and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills.
