This is a busy first-opinion practice with a varied caseload and excellent facilities, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, modern dental suite, in-house lab, and separate dog, cat, and isolation wards. The clinic is also ISFM registered and feline-friendly.
Located in a well-connected area, the practice offers an easy commute to Central London and Essex, with Southend-on-Sea just a short drive away for those who enjoy the coast.
The Role
As Head Vet, you will work closely with the Practice Director, Head Nurse, and management team to ensure exceptional patient care and clinical standards while mentoring and supporting the vet team.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the veterinary team, providing mentorship, and supporting clinical growth.
- Driving clinical standards and ensuring best practices across the team.
- Managing the vet rota to balance workload and client demand.
- Growing the practice, working with the management team to enhance services and patient care.
- Encouraging career progression, supporting vets with further study and CPD.
This role is perfect for a confident vet ready to step into leadership, or a senior vet looking for the next career move. A surgical interest is welcomed but not essential.
