They are currently looking for a maternity cover for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join their branch in Essex. Once the maternity cover has ended the position would continue to be based at on eof the other clinics or split.
The branch is a very busy, well-equipped practice with a great friendly team, the vets hold a range of certificates from surgery to ophthalmology. The practice has great facilities including a digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, separate theatre and in house biochemistry. Additionally, you will have the back up of our main hospital in Epping where we have CT, MRI, laparoscopic equipment, endoscopy and rhinoscopy.
The role:
The salary is from £55,000 upwards depending on experience (pro rata)
Rota will generally be 3 days 8am to 7pm and 1 day 8am to 4pm with one day off
No OOHs
Weekend work would be on a rota basis with time of in lieu given for any weekends worked
The position is full time based on a 40-hour week, although part time work will be considered.
Ideally you will be confident in all routine surgery and consultations and who will be happy to support the other vets if they have any questions.
