The Hospital Environment
You will be working within a large, multidisciplinary team of approximately 40 staff, including 10+ veterinarians with a wide range of clinical interests. The hospital provides services beyond standard GP work, including:

The Role
As Lead Veterinarian, you will combine hands-on clinical work with leadership and strategic input:

Managing a varied medical and surgical caseload

Mentoring and supporting a team of veterinarians

Providing clinical leadership and guidance across the hospital

Contributing to performance development and team growth

Supporting training of nursing and support staff
-
Driving best-practice clinical standards

Aligning clinical excellence with business and operational goals

About You
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in small animal practice
-
BVSc, DVM or equivalent with eligibility for NSW registration
-
Confident managing complex and varied caseloads
-
Passionate about mentoring and supporting junior veterinarians
-
Interest in developing leadership, people management and business skills
-
Comfortable leading change, improving processes and setting clinical standards
-
Keen to continue developing clinically, including new skill areas if desired
