A well-established small animal practice in Warrington is looking to welcome a Head Nurse to lead their nursing team. This opening has come up due to the current Head Nurse being promoted internally, so there will be genuine scope for leadership development and progression for the right person.
This is a great opportunity to step into a supportive, friendly clinic where nurses are valued, encouraged to grow and play a key role in the running of the practice. The team currently includes three vets and five RVNs, with clinical interests spanning orthopaedics and BOAS work. With a 50/50 dog and cat caseload, it’s also a nice fit for anyone who enjoys or wants to develop in feline nursing.
The practice is purpose-built with modern equipment, and as part of a larger independent veterinary group, there’s ongoing investment in facilities, training and people. Internal leadership training is available for anyone keen to build their management skills.
What they’re looking for:
- Experienced RVN confident clinically and keen to support others
- Self-motivated, approachable and comfortable leading a team
- Enjoys mentoring RVNs, students and VCAs
Package:
- Salary £33,000 to £38,000 DOE
- Full time, four days per week, nine-hour shifts
- 1 in 4 weekends
- CPD allowance
- Internal leadership training
- Rewards and discount schemes
- Income protection
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Health and wellbeing support
- And more!
