Looking for a Varied Caseload and Real Career Progression in Your Next Role?

I’m currently speaking with an outstanding practice that’s keen to welcome an Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys clinical variety, autonomy, and genuine long-term development. This is a role designed for a vet who wants to stay challenged, keep learning, and feel truly valued for their expertise.

The opportunity
This is a full-time, four-day week position with a balanced weekend rota and, importantly, no out-of-hours work. Thanks to a loyal and well-established client base, the caseload is broad and interesting, spanning internal medicine, surgery, and exposure to more complex procedures, including orthopaedics. It’s an ideal environment for a vet who enjoys diversity in their day and wants to keep sharpening their clinical skill set.

The clinical environment
You’ll be working in a modern, purpose-built practice equipped to a high standard, allowing you to practise confidently and efficiently. Expect strong diagnostic support, excellent surgical facilities, and a workflow that enables you to focus on medicine rather than firefighting. You’ll be supported by an experienced clinical lead and a highly capable nursing team, making sole charge both manageable and professionally rewarding.

Who this role suits
I’m keen to speak with a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with sole charge, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient and client care. A proactive mindset and an interest in continued development will be key to thriving here.

What’s on offer

  • Salary in the region of £80,000–£100,000, depending on experience

  • A genuinely varied and stimulating caseload

  • Generous CPD funding, with active encouragement and support for certificates

  • Paid professional memberships

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Excellent career development opportunities and clinical freedom

  • A supportive, positive team culture where your voice is heard

  • Additional lifestyle and wellbeing benefits designed to support you both in and out of work

This is the kind of role that doesn’t come up often—one where you can grow clinically, feel supported, and still maintain a healthy work–life balance.
