Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are delighted to be working with a practice who are seeking a Companion Veterinarian.

Permanent - Part Time – 32 hours per week + Rostered Saturday.

  • Minimal on calls required.  – Will be sometimes required to be on call between 5-7 and to do be available for on call for the After Hours Clinic in Chch a couple of times a year.  There will be an expectation to do one late night a week (10am-7pm)

The Position: 

They’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced consultation and surgical companion veterinarian to join their team. 

Their clinics are well equipped and access to the latest technology in a well-equipped practice and benefit from their networks and support structures across New Zealand. They have a team of excellent support staff, capable nurses, and great veterinarians who enjoy helping each other.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional veterinary care to their furry patients, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, offering guidance and support in their animal’s health journey.

  • Collaborate with a skilled and compassionate team to deliver the highest standards of care.

  • Pursue continuing education and stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture where every team member thrives.

  • Develop into a leadership position or continue to grow within your current skillset by learning from industry leaders.

  • An in-house diagnostic including Ultrasound, Dental X-ray & full Idexx diagnostic suite

  • Work with a nursing and support team who take standard of care to the next level!
