Our client is looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon on a full or part time basis, to join them in their friendly community orientated standalone practice in the lovely market town of Stourbridge.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced practice owner and veterinary surgeon, and to learn the skills required to become a practice owner yourself if desired.

Ideal candidate:

They're looking for a vet with strong small animal experience, gained as a general practitioner, as well as excellent people skills. Specialist interests and postgraduate qualifications (or a wish to gain them) are welcomed and supported but not necessary to the role.

Whether surgery or medicine is your preference they are happy to discuss a role involving consults only but likewise if you enjoy surgery there is plenty of scope for that too – with regular surgery sessions. Following your cases through is encouraged but support is always there.

About:

Providing the exceptional care that their patients and clients deserve is only possible with an excellent team and therefore your wellbeing is at the forefront of everything they do. Getting away on time is encouraged and supported, with a protected early finish.

Lunch breaks are also encouraged and supported with admin time also built into their rotas. The weekend rota is shared on a 1:3 Saturdays’ basis, they don’t work on Sundays or on Bank Holidays and they also have one day off during the week.

A fixed rotating rota is used with a six weekly pattern to allow forward planning of time off in advance and a variety of working hours and rota patterns can be considered, whether that be to help with childcare arrangements, caring responsibilities or for your own wellbeing.

In addition to a rewarding role in a lovely location, you can also expect to receive:

  • Salary up to £65,000 DOE

  • No out of hours and no Sunday’s

  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays pro-rata

  • Paid professional memberships - RCVS, VDS and BSAVA

  • Dedicated CPD allowance and time off including funding towards certificates

  • Life assurance 4 x annual salary

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Private health insurance

  • Sponsorship fees paid

  • Group discounts on pet products and care

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Colleague reward hub – exclusive offers and discounts online and on the high street

  • Free car parking

  • And more!
