This long-established, proudly independent practice (over 100 years serving the community) is growing and looking to welcome an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon (small animal bias) or Small Animal Vet to join a large, experienced team of vets and nurses. You’ll be working alongside people who enjoy what they do, help each other out, and take pride in delivering high-quality care every day.

The Package

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)

  • Experienced vet salary package can be tailored where car, fuel card and accommodation are required

  • Minimum 6 weeks annual leave, plus your birthday off

  • 6-month review with salary increase on successful probation completion

The Role (Mixed or Small Animal Only)

  • Must hold a full driving licence

  • Mixed split: approx. 80% small animal / 10% equine / 10% farm
    (Small animal only roles also considered)

  • No sole charge on-call

  • 1 night on-call per week (with support from another vet)

  • Weekend rota: 1 full weekend on-call in every 6

    • For every full weekend worked: no on-call the following week

    • Plus a Friday or Monday off to create a long weekend

  • 1 Saturday morning in 3 (one falls within the 1-in-6 full weekend rota)

  • Bank holiday cover shared equally

  • Part-time considered (ideally minimum 2 full days per week, plus rota contribution)
