Our client who we are thrilled to be working with have an exciting opportunity for a GP small animal Vet to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. This role is based at their busy first opinion and referral hospital alongside their fantastic team of certificate holders in a range of different disciplines. The role will involve consultations, surgery, hospital and inpatient shifts, and emergency and out-of-hours care alongside the usual first opinion duties.
Rota:
Their vets usually work between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm and most choose to work their 40 hours over 4 days, however, they are happy to discuss working patterns as they understand how important a good work/life balance is. There is a share of 1:4 weekends, including out-of-hours work on a rota-basis with their night and twilight team. The successful candidate would be required to work 2 bank holidays per year at the main hospital with time off in lieu for these shifts.

This practice is an exciting and ever-expanding practice, located in beautiful Norfolk. They pride themselves on providing great service and care, maintaining high clinical standards and offering a rewarding and progressive career. They accept certificate-level referrals in a range of disciplines and have their own out-of-hours service on-site. They have excellent facilities, including a new extension and refurbishment of existing hospital is now complete.
They have a large team of 34 Vets with 8 new graduates, 41 Nurses and support staff. They are a nurse training practice and offer a structured 2-year programme for new graduate vets.
The team are enthusiastic and ambitious to continue to improve the services and level of care they can offer. They are a friendly and sociable group who love working together (consistent feedback from appraisals every year is that the best thing about their practice is the fantastic team); they enjoy monthly team meetings and regular social events and activities.
Salary:
Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £5,000
